The app and the graphics are quite smooth and well done. The tactical elements of the final game is the only reason this isnt a 5 star everyone needs this app. Being both simple (you place a peg of the same type to capture all the connected areas marked by that peg) and complex (more pegs then areas to claim and not all areas are the same shape) allows for quick picking up of the rules. But once I finish playing the game a dozen times with friends and family members I cannot see it staying on my iPhone for another month.

If this game had a pass and play mode it would be amazing. As is, its only decent.

Do buy, its simple and good strategy fun.

This game is perfect, very strategic, and still quite fast paced. Awsome game!!

Always freeze on iPad 2, cant even play one turn after first map...

Worth trying!

Ive played 30 games with my wife, one thing came out : whoever plays first, loses.

First of all, this game has one of the most beautiful menu and in-game graphics I have ever seen in an iPad board game. It is an extremely polished game, with just the right amount of animations and sound effects. Unfortunately, the game itself isnt on par with the graphics. I wish they had implemented another game with the same production quality. Ive seen great games that suffer from low quality graphics (e.g. all of Coditos games) and this one is the opposite. The game depends way too much on luck, instead of skill. %90 of the time, the player whos gonna keep a region in the end is either the one who receives the last one of the relevant token, or the one that plays last. There really isnt much skill involved. The scoring is also unbalanced. The relationship between the region size and the amount of points it gives should have been close to linear rather than quadratic. What I think the devs should do to reduce the dependence on luck is, adding larger maps that contain more "thin" areas that can be blocked by 1-2 regions, and also more "natural" blockers such as the lava and rivers in some of the current maps. The number of totem types should also be selectable by the player, rather than being preset to a specific amount for each map. One other thing I think the devs should add is the option to add a particular AI player multiple times to the same game. With the current implementation, it is not possible to play with 3 medium level AI players for example.

Forte e semplice

Simple rules but complex play; a great variation of the territory control concept.

This is a wonderful strategy game. Its super simple to pick up. The strategy is engaging and deep enough to allow you to sit and think about stuff The only complaint I have is that it has a system of random unit selection this can get really annoying if you pull something horrid. However, the game makes up for this by allowing you to depict units.

This game is easy to learn, but difficult to master. With a variety of maps and tokens, this game will definitely keep you busy, and I definitely recommend it.

Updated review: it got old quick. My original review was glowing. I paid $2 for it, so no biggie.

I love this game

This game leans heavily on the AI and affords it an advantage at almost every turn. The inability to not know the amount of totems for each player is its Achilles heel. Ruins the strategic gameplay and makes me NOT want to play. Until this is fixed one star is my rating. Dont even bother writing the developer, I tried and it got me nowhere.

It is a slow game, but very fun

Amazing game, good balance, great multiplayer. There is nothing to say except that the iPhone has found a crown jewel of a strategy game among a sea of fools gold.
