Totems: Game of Conquest App Reviews

Enjoyable strategy. Need to do something about players who quit or never play their turn. Also, when playing against the game, it would be better if we knew how many totems each player had since obviously the game knows how many we have.

This game has a lot of potential to be great, its fun because its similar to Risk and has its own uniqueness to it, but for it to be enjoyable they need to make serious changes. Online players will make one move and then not move again so you end the game and they gain points because you aborted the game, and it makes your player score drop. This could be easily fixed by making players have to move within a certain amount of time before it drops them from the game. Also, the game gets repetitive very easily, if they had a campaign mode where you could battle different countries and take them over and move to the next that would be better. Like a world domination game, instead of picking a different map and difficulty and doing the same thing every time. Sadly, its not worth the $1.99 in my opinion. Maybe when (if) they fix it.

Too much fun! Totally addictive.

There are only 5 maps to open at purchase. To get more you must pay or defeat random online opponents (among other less problematic things). The trouble is that random online opponents are quite unreliable. I dont mind the downtime between sessions (but do note you loose points if you quit an inactive game), but I hate the fact that most opponents quit the game when it becomes clear they wont win. I loose far more than I win but I dont quit and deny someone else the opportunity to open a new map.

Its an ok game, but too many jerks swearing at you using the chat in online play.

Progress should not be tied to online competition and there is too much emphasis on Facebook. Makes a decent game annoying and tedious.

Nice game, easy to learn but no two games are the same. Nice variance in the abilities of the AI players to allow you different challenges.

An enjoyable game that is easy to get into. The AI players are varied and decent. Map unlocks require online games which can be hard with a small player base.

Classic fun which is easy to learn the basics but challenging strategy with engaging background music and effects.

When playing the computer, there are times, very important times, when the computer skips its turn, thereby giving it the advantage and allowing it to win...frustrating. But overall a lot of fun.

Its a good board game to play online with friends or random players. Hope to see more maps in future updates.
